Composer Amanda Harberg teaches music theory and composition at Rutgers University. In the summer, she's an Instructor of Composition at Interlochen Arts Camp.
This summer, Harberg visited IPR's Studio A with four of her faculty colleagues from Interlochen Arts Camp. With Harberg at the piano, they performed a variety of her chamber music.
Harberg also spoke with Classical IPR about many dimensions of her music, such as the deeply personal emotional experiences that inspired several of her pieces. She also talked about what it's like working with talented faculty at Interlochen during the summers.
