Classical IPR's night owl listeners will notice some new sounds on the air starting this week.
Last month, we had a soft launch of an encore broadcast of Performance Today every weeknight from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m. as well as an encore of Exploring Music with Bill McGlaughlin at 6 a.m.
Starting this week, listeners will now hear the Beethoven Network weeknights from 1 a.m. to 6 a.m. and weekend nights from 1 a.m. to 7 a.m.

We made this decision in response to listener feedback about the current overnight programming. We also took programming costs into consideration to reach the best outcome for both programming and annual expenses.
The Beethoven Network is hosted by Peter van de Graaff, a classically trained opera singer who is currently the music director at KWAX Classical Oregon. He has been the host of the Beethoven Network since 1989.
