Last month, music critic and commentator Jim Svejda retired from his role as a classical music host at KUSC.
He had hosted classical music in Los Angeles for more than 40 years, starting his tenure in 1983.
In addition to his daily hosting at KUSC, Svejda was also the host of the long-running syndicated classical music program "The Record Shelf."
With Svejda's retirement, "The Record Shelf" will also cease production. The final episode was distributed to syndicated stations on February 18, 2022.
