Flutist Carole Scott has spent her career performing all over the state of Michigan.
She's a founding member of the Grosse Ile Quintet and regularly plays at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor, Greenfield Village and locally with the Benzie Area Symphony Orchestra and Benzie Community Band.
In fact, she has degrees from both Michigan State University and the University of Michigan (but the Scotts only fly one flag at their house).
This weekend, Scott will perform a flute concerto by Johann Sebastian Bach with the Benzie Area Symphony Orchestra.
Carole Scott came to IPR's Studio A with her pianist-slash-husband Doug to give a preview of one movement from the concerto.
Hear Carole Scott perform with the Benzie Area Symphony Orchestra and conductor Tom Riccobono on Sunday, Oct. 3 during the Orchestra's Mostly Mozart concert.
The performance starts at 4 p.m. at the Benzie Central High School Auditorium. Click here for more information.
Stefan Wiebe engineered this edition of Studio A.
