Clark Gesner's musical theatre adaptation of the iconic Charles M. Schulz comic, "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" has been a beloved standby since it first opened in 1967.
The Parallel 45 Theatre Company opens their own production of the audience favorite on July 21.
The show lovingly explores themes of small people experiencing big feelings, and their perspective on the world. As Jou's nephew once told him, "It's really hard being 10!"
Jou talked with IPR about the show's themes, and chose three pieces from the upcoming production to share with us - "Beethoven Day" and "My New Philosophy" (written for the Broadway Revival) and "Happiness."
