Beaver Island is the largest island in Lake Michigan, and it was once ruled by a rogue Mormon king.
It's also the home of an annual classical music festival.
This year's Baroque on Beaver festival will take place on Beaver Island from July 30 to August 7, 2021.
The festival is celebrating its 20th season.
Executive director Matt Thomas spoke with Classical IPR about this summer's festival and included some music by Charles Tomlinson Griffes, Arturo Marquez and Jessie Montgomery.
Featured guest artists include marimbist Peter Ferry and flutist Anthony Trionfo.
