From intimate storytelling to full orchestral color, Jader Bignamini leads this program that proves we are more than the sum of our parts. DSO Composer-in-Residence Michael Abels’s Emerge finds musical meaning in a community reunited. Alexandra Dariescu brings the cinematic Piano Concerto by Leokadiya Kashperova back from obscurity. And Respighi brings the full orchestra to dazzling life in his radiant evocations of Rome.
Classical IPR will broadcast the concert live on Friday, October 16, starting at 10:40 a.m. Listen on air, through the IPR mobile app or on your smart speaker or smart TV.
