There are a few changes to syndicated programs coming to Classical IPR.
"Extra Eclectic," hosted by Steve Seel and distributed by American Public Media on the Classical 24 network, is coming to an end.
According to a statement from American Public Media, Seel is moving into a new role at the organization and the program will no longer be produced.
"Extra Eclectic" had been broadcast Mondays at 11 p.m. EST.
The final episode will air Monday, Sept. 28.
The WFMT Radio Network has clarified the rollout of new "Exploring Music" episodes hosted by Peter van de Graaff.
Bill McGlaughlin, who had hosted "Exploring Music" for 22 years, left in December 2025 after his contract was not renewed. He died in July of this year.
In August, WFMT announced that van de Graaff would assume the role of host of "Exploring Music."
Through the end of 2026, new episodes of "Exploring Music" hosted by van de Graaff will air one week a month, with past episodes hosted by McGlaughlin running in the remaining three or four weeks of each month.
Episodes featuring van de Graaff will be broadcast the weeks of Oct. 26, Nov. 23 and Dec. 21.
