Oboist Linda Strommen shares new album of music by Eric Ewazen

Linda Strommen serves as Professor of Oboe at Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University, Oboe Guest Faculty at the Juilliard School and Interlochen Arts Camp Oboe faculty.

A new album features Linda Strommen performing music for oboe composed by her longtime friend Eric Ewazen.

In a conversation with Classical IPR, oboist and educator Linda Strommen shared selections from her new album, "Life's Journeys: Linda Strommen Plays Oboe Works of Eric Ewazen," released ilast month on Albany/PARMA Records.

Strommen discusses her artistic partnership with the composer, commissions and the music's deeply personal connection to grief, resilience and hope.
