This week, we say farewell to Scott Clemens.
Scott joined the Classical IPR staff in June 2024, hosting Afternoon Classical and producing IPR's digital content.
He also hosted the popular "The Well-Tempered Commute" since its launch last year.
Classical IPR wishes Scott all the best in his next chapter as he relocates to the Kansas City area.
Music director Amanda Sewell and Classical IPR fellow Isabel Li will share hosting responsibilities for Afternoon Classical and "The Well-Tempered Commute" until a new host joins the staff. The posting for a classical host and digital content producer role is available here.
Classical IPR is also making some programming changes, effective immediately.
Intermezzo, our daily classical music program for children and families, has a new broadcast time of 8 a.m. every weekday. Episodes are also available on demand via your favorite podcast app or the Intermezzo home page.
Classical IPR is also reducing the frequency of news broadcasts. Effective today, Classical IPR listeners will hear national and local headlines at 7:01 a.m., 12:01 p.m. and 5:01 p.m. on weekdays.
This decreased number of newscasts comes in response to feedback from our listeners, many of whom say they come to Classical IPR for respite from the news or that they prefer get their news headlines from sources other than Classical IPR.
We welcome your feedback about these and other programming changes.
