Giving Tuesday started in 2012 on social media as an antidote to the commercialism of Black Friday. It's become a nationally-recognized day for charitable giving to non-profits, foundations, and of course public media, who support the community all year long.
This Giving Tuesday, December 2, stop by the Interlochen Public Radio (3585 Faculty Lane, Interlochen) from 11am-2pm for a cup of hot cocoa and a sweet treat. You can check out the stations in action, make your own recording, and request a Christmas carol for an upcoming episode of Music By Request.
Later, enjoy happy hour deals from 4-6pm at Earthen Ales at the Village at Grand Traverse Commons (1371 Gray Drive, Traverse City). A portion of each pint purchased ($1) will be donated to IPR. See additional special below!
It's our way of kicking off the season of giving with our listening family!
