Classical IPR is pleased to welcome Isabel Li as our new fellow.
Originally from Los Angeles, Isabel is a recent graduate of Scripps College, Claremont, where she earned a bachelor's degree in music history & theory and media studies.
She also completed a filmmaking program at the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague.
A classically trained violinist and orchestral musician, Isabel is particularly interested in exploring the Asian American Pacific Islander community in the classical music world.
She has directed a short documentary film called "Play, Then" about a Chinese American cellist who must perform for his grandmother.
Isabel also produces and hosts a weekly radio show called "Obbligato" on KPFA, featuring stories of AAPI classical musicians, composers and music scholars.
At Classical IPR, Isabel will produce broadcast, podcast and digital content and host classical music programming.
