Viridian Strings has announced its largest summer concert series to date, including more concerts, venues and musicians than ever before.
The collective is anchored by founders Joe Skerik and and Kyle Stachnik, both of whom hail from the Grand Traverse region and graduated from Interlochen Arts Academy.
This summer's recital dates span three months (June, July and August) and include four different chamber music configurations, including solo cello, string duo, piano quartet and string quartet.
Now well established in their separate professional careers, the two return to northern Michigan every summer to play chamber music. Each summer's iteration of Viridian Strings is a little different, featuring various combinations friends, partners and colleagues playing different repertoire.
This summer's lineup includes a piano quartet series in mid-June, a violin and cello duo series later in June, a solo cello recital in July and August and a string quartet series at the end of August.
