Bring the whole family to Interlochen Center for the Arts for an exciting day packed with FREE artistic and outdoors activities — plus, an opportunity to take the baton and conduct the Interlochen Arts Academy Wind Symphony!
Participants will get a brief conducting tutorial and then can take a turn leading the musicians in the Interlochen Arts Academy Wind Symphony.
Families can meet our new host Christy L’Esperance to talk with her about Classical IPR’s future children’s programming
The Kids Conduct activity is happening 11 a.m. through 12:20 p.m. in room 1008 of the Music Center at Interlochen Center for the Arts.
Kids Conduct is just one of dozens of free, family-friendly multidisciplinary art activities available at Winterlochen.
Attendees can also swing dance, get their faces painted, perform in live karaoke, illustrate postcards to mail, write poems and create seed bombs.
Winterlochen culminates at 2 p.m. with a free review of "Frozen" when everyone can meet the characters Elsa, Anna, Olaf and Kristoff.
