Traverse City Dance Project brings high-energy to a community near you this summer

The Traverse City Dance Project kicked off its 2023 Community Tour Sunday, in Kalkaska. The company aims to bring its high-energy show to other northern Michigan locations including Frankfort, Charlevoix, Maple City, and Traverse City.

It's part of the group's effort to make dance more accessible across the region.

"One of my favorite things is to watch little kids dance when they don't feel like anybody is watching them, says Traverse City Dance Project co-founder Jen Lott. "Because I think that [dance] is really innate to who we are and what we are."
