The chamber tango quintet (plus one!) QuinTango is making the rounds of Northwest Lower Michigan as part of the IPR Live Summer Concert Series.
Their final local appearance is at 5:00 p.m. on June 30 in Glen Arbor, as part fo the Manitou Music Festival. The free concert will be held at the Glen Lake Community School Auditorium.
QuinTango came to Studio A to share some music and chat with IPR's Kate Botello. What you'll hear is only part of a much longer, fascinating conversation. QuinTango's members are: Ali Cook (bass), Susanna Mendlow (cello), Freya Creech (violin), Joan Singer (founder/violin), Julie Huang Tucker (piano) - and their permanent "plus one" is Emmanuel Trifilio (bandoneon).
