Delia Zaleski has joined Interlochen Public Radio as Classical IPR's summer intern.
She is a rising Junior at Carnegie Mellon University, where she is pursuing a degree in flute performance.
Her current teacher is Alberto Almarza. She previously studied with Lorna McGhee and Nancy Stagnitta.
Delia is a 2020 graduate of Interlochen Arts Academy.
She has received national recognition for her flute playing, including first prize from the National Flute Association High School Soloist Competition in 2020.
Delia is an avid reader who dabbles in writing and enjoys learning about music history.
She can also be found caring for houseplants and spending time with her cat.
This summer, Delia will host music programming on the air and help behind the scenes with IPR programs including Kids Commute, GAMEPLAY, the Interlochen Collection and Music by Request.
