Woman alleges she met Jeffrey Epstein at Interlochen Arts Camp before abuse

An Interlochen Center for the Arts official says Epstein was invited to campus around the time when a woman alleges she met the financier in the 90s when she was 14-years-old.

The woman who used the pseudonym “Jane” at the Maxwell trial last week, says she met Maxwell and Epstein near a cafe on campus when she was an Interlochen camper.

Jane testified she gave Epstein her mother's phone number and later began a relationship, which she describes as sexually abusive. Interlochen says its records indicate Epstein may have been on campus at that time.

Interlochen Center for the Arts says it opened its records twice and found no documented claims of Epstein acting inappropriately on campus. Epstein was a donor in the 90s and early 2000s and stayed on the premises at least once.

Though unsupervised contact between students and donors is against policy, the arts school frequently has visitors for events.

An Interlochen spokesperson says the school has expanded employee safety training in recent years.
