Voters in Ludington have said 'yes' to a $10 million dollar bond that will allow the local schools to buy iPads and other devices for every student in the district.

It's the first major investment in Ludington Public Schools after 10 years of budget cuts, says Superintendent Cal DeKuiper.

"For the next 10 years, we will be rebuilding our curriculum," he says. "We'll be working with kids in the environment that they've grown up with in this digital age.

"It is not about learning a device, or which computer does what. It is a tool to teach the curriculum in a way that students learn."

DeKuiper says the program will be phased in over the next three years, and the bond is designed to fund the program for about 15 years.
