Born in Arkansas and based in Portland, Ore., The Gossip has played with the likes of Sleater-Kinney, CSS and Le Tigre. Boasting a funky punk sound, the band received a great deal of attention for the album Standing in the Way of Control, and has since toured nationally behind the powerful vocals of frontwoman Beth Ditto. The Gossip's performance at Bonnaroo included a cover of Tina Turner's classic "What's Love Got to Do With It?"
