A shuttered Montessori Middle school in Traverse City could reopen this fall. The Greenspire School is on the grounds of the Village at Grand Traverse Commons. It opened in the fall of 2004... and closed in the spring of 2007.
Over those three years, the school served less than 20 students. The school's board wanted to switch from a private school to a charter school. Now, lawmakers in Lansing may have made that transition a little easier. Rick Farfsing is Executive Director of the Greenspire School.
