Interlochen’s own Michael and Jean Coonrod were friends and colleagues of composer Albert James Fillmore.
Together, the Coonrods collected Fillmore's music and biography, presenting it in an album in 2004.
Pianist Michael Coonrod performed most of Fillmore's solo preludes, and soprano Roberta Veazey joined him for some of Fillmore's art songs.
Interlochen Arts Academy students performed Fillmore's string orchestra arrangement of the hymn "Wondrous Love."
This episode includes Fillmore's music and the Coonrods' reflections on their relationship with him.
