This week on Kids Commute, we're going following the fairytale brother/sister duo, Hänsel and Gretel, as they venture into the woods to find some berries.
Along the way, they get lost, run into a gingerbread house and an evil (yet silly) witch, and nearly escape, and free a bunch of gingerbread children!
This classic Brothers Grimm fairytale-turned German opera was written by another brother/sister duo: librettist Adelheid Wette and composer Engelbert Humperdinck.
See an hour-long version of the opera for FREE on Friday, Dec. 1, 2023 at the Dendrinos Chapel and Recital Hall.
Find more information about the performance here.
