This week, we're learning all about the Dorothy Gerber Strings Program, or DGSP!
We'll find out what the program is all about and meet some of the young string players who are in it.
The Dorothy Gerber Strings Program was founded in 2000 to help young musicians in northern Michigan get access to string instrument lessons during the school day.
Thanks to DGSP, students in Emmet, Charlevoix and Antrim counties can study violin, viola, cello, or double bass.
Plus, Dorothy Gerber Youth Orchestra came to visit us at Interlochen Center for the Arts and recorded the performances that you'll hear featured on the show this week.
Each day, we'll hear one of the movements from Edvard Grieg's Holberg Suite.
We'll also have a brand new quizlet for you!
Tune in Monday through Friday at 7:40 and 3:20, or listen any time below.
