Help northern Michigan's public radio station tell better stories and do bold new work. Interlochen Public Radio is searching for a guest producer to come work with students, community producers and station reporters.
As part of Interlochen Center for the Arts, you'll be helping one of the premiere arts organizations in the world fully embrace audio storytelling.
We are looking for a talented producer who is excited to help others learn the narrative craft that has made public radio beloved by millions and is driving the rapid expansion of podcasting in the U.S. This is an opportunity to develop as an editor in a friendly environment with people eager to learn.
This is a one semester position beginning this August, possibly extending into the second semester.
The residency will have three main facets:
- Teach a podcasting elective course to Interlochen Arts Academy students
- Train and edit community producers for our Red Pine Radio project
- Assist with or direct a special project with IPR staff
Compensation will include:
- Pay commensurate with experience
- Lodging on the Interlochen campus
- Meals most days at the dining hall
