KIDS COMMUTE - Prodigy Week! Tuesday

Welcome back to Prodigy Week on Kids Commute from Interlochen Public Radio. A prodigy is a young person who performs at the level of an adult. This week, we’ve chosen five child prodigies who made a big debuts at a young age. Today, we learn about Russian pianist, Evgeny Kissin, who started playing piano by ear at the age of two! By the time he was six years old, he attended a school for gifted children, and began studying piano. When he was ten, he performed Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 20. Today we’ll hear a recording from his debut album, recorded when he was twelve years old. After the music, we’ll give you the first hint for the Kids Commute Quizlet. If you text the correct answer, we’ll send you a Kids Commute Prize Pack!
