COVID-19 pandemic puts region's blood supply at risk

As coronavirus continues to spread in Michigan, the pandemic puts the state's blood supply at risk.

Dr. LeeAnn Weitekamp is senior medical director for Versiti Blood Center of Michigan.
 

She spoke with IPR’s Dan Wanschura today about how coronavirus is impacting blood banks and what Versiti is doing to protect donors from getting the virus.
