Two protests were in the news this week.

A demonstration that became a shoving match in Petoskey has now sparked an investigation into the actions of a college leader. Faculty at North Central Michigan College asked for a third party to look into whether NCMC President David Finley violated policy by trying to force protesters from a lunch time lecture back in June.

And in Traverse City, demonstrators marched on the Studio 8 Hair Lab, whose owner said transgender customers should go to a pet groomer instead of her salon. The city has also started looking into a discrimination complaint made against the business.

Plus, Airbnbs and other vacation rentals are here to stay, but it's been tough going for some of the people who own those units. Business is slower and people are booking stays later than usual, making business also unpredictable.

It's been a pretty newsy week. Listen and subscribe!
