IPR’s series “Irredeemable" has won two national awards from Public Radio News Directors, Incorporated.
“Irredeemable" examines the human side of a legal battle over juveniles sentenced to life in prison. It won a first place award for Best Series at the annual PRNDI conference, held last week in Philadelphia. The episode “Tortured Choice” also won a second place award in the category “Best Short Documentary."
“Irredeemable,” reported by IPR’s Morgan Springer, debuted in October 2017. In April, the series won a 2018 regional Edward R. Murrow award from the Radio Television Digital News Association.
