<p><em>From Staff Reports</em></p> <p>Traverse City is now seeking formal <a href="http://www.ci.traverse-city.mi.us/parks-recreation-department/train" target="_blank">proposals </a>for what to do with the Spirit of Traverse City miniature steam train.</p> <p>The train is being removed from Clinch Park along the bayfront to make way for a park re-design.</p> <p>Officials say they'll consider all proposals, but they have expressed hope that the train will find a home nearby.</p> <p>The City Commission will make a final decision on the fate of the train after staff recommends the proposal deemed in the best interest of the city.</p>
