In October of 2019, the Interlochen Arts Academy Wind Symphony, Theatre Department and IPR joined forces for the "Kids Commute Circus Extravaganza."
Hundreds of people - and lots of kids! - joined Kate Botello and the performers in Corson Auditorium for a concert of mostly circus-themed music that focused on the lesson of how music expresses emotion.
In front of the Wind Symphony, the Theatre Department formed a circus troupe that performed tableaux to the music. Their voices are represented by the trombone (Ringmaster), bassoon (Strong Man), oboe (Magician) and flutes (Acrobats).

Dr. Matthew Schlomer conducted the Wind Symphony; the actors were directed by Andrew McGinn. Michael Culler was the recording engineer.
