Libertarians Show Some Political Clout In Michigan

http://ipraudio.interlochen.org/Libertarians_1.mp3

The Libertarian Party almost tipped the scales in the close race for Michigan's 1st Congressional District. Republican Dan Benishek appears to have won a second term in Washington by about 2,300 votes, less than a percentage point. The Libertarian, Emily Salvette, took more than 10,000 votes even though she doesn't live in the district and didn't campaign here. A few Libertarians running for Congress in Michigan cleared the 10,000 mark Tuesday.
