Labor Proposals On Ballot Tuesday

http://ipraudio.interlochen.org/Props2and4.mp3

Next week, Michigan voters will have the opportunity to expand the power of organized labor in the state constitution. Proposal 2 is a far-reaching proposal that would make collective bargaining a fundamental right in Michigan. Opponents say it would help bankrupt local governments and spark legal chaos. Proposal 4 is a more obscure proposal that would give one group of workers the right to organize: in-home care givers. Opponents say it's not about improving home healthcare but unionizing people who aren't public employees at all.
