<p><em>By <a href="mailto:aspeyba@interlochen.org">Brad Aspey</a></em></p> <p>Director Rich Brauer will be given the 2009 Michigan Filmmaker Award at tomorrow's opening of the Traverse City Film Festival. </p> <p>The Traverse City-based director's features include "Frozen Stupid" and "Barn Red." And Brauer recently premiered a new film, "That One Summer." The filmmaker also served as cinematographer for Jeff Daniels films, "Escanaba in da Moonlight" and "Super Sucker." </p> <p>Michael Moore will present the award at the kick-off party for the film festival Tuesday, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Front Street between Park and Union Streets.</p>
