Week Four of the World Youth Symphony Orchestra at Interlochen features guest conductor Cristian Macelaru, Music Director of the Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music.

This week's concert features Dvorak's Carnival Overture and Brahms Symphony No. 2. Macelaru - a former member of the WYSO himself - had some fascinating things to say about Brahms, Dvorak, and their musical ideas of happiness.

Listen below to hear more, and to find out why Macelaru wants to make t-shirts that say, "Keep Dvorak Weird!"

Join us for the concert live on Classical IPR, Sunday night at 8pm.
