Telegraph Quartet

On Thursday, July 9, the nationally syndicated classical music program Performance Today will feature music recorded at Interlochen Center for the Arts.

Join Classical IPR during the 11 a.m. EST hour of the program to hear the Telegraph Quartet perform three divertimenti by Benjamin Britten. This recital took place in the Dendrinos Chapel and Recital Hall.

The Telegraph Quartet is a 2016 Walter W. Naumburg Chamber Music Award-winning string ensemble based in the San Francisco Bay area. The quartet will perform this week at Interlochen Center for the Arts. 

 

The group visited IPR’s Studio A to perform works by Mendelssohn, Britten and Beethoven. They also talked about collaboration, repertoire and their upcoming season. Hear the entire performance and interview below.

The Telegraph Quartet is the Quartet-in-Residence at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.

The group was formed in 2013 and was awarded the prestigious 2016 Walter W. Naumberg Chamber Music Award. The Telegraph Quartet has a new CD coming out next month.

They perform and coach chamber music at Interlochen Center for the Arts this week. The Telegraph Quartet visited IPR's Studio A with music by Beethoven, Dvořák and Weinberg. Listen below.
