This week, Classical IPR in Concert features the October 2019 performance of the Traverse Symphony Orchestra.

Kevin Rhodes conducts "Symphonie Fantastique" by Hector Berlioz and "Giants of the Night" by David Amram, featuring flute soloist Nancy Stagnitta.

"I don't know how many other flute concertos there are with a cowbell," says flutist Nancy Stagnitta in reference to "Giants of the Night," a piece by David Amram.

Stagnitta will perform "Giants of the Night" this weekend with the Traverse Symphony Orchestra. The piece is a tribute to three major figures of the Beat Generation: Charlie Parker, Jack Kerouac and Dizzy Gillespie.

Classical IPR in Concert: IAA Faculty Chamber Music

This week, Classical IPR in Concert features members of the faculty of Interlochen Arts Academy.

Pianist Ya-Ju Chuang, violinist Ara Sarkissian, violist Renee Skerik and flutist Nancy Stagnitta perform a concert of works by Valerie Coleman and Bohuslav Martinů, along with pieces by Beethoven and Mozart.

On Friday March 29, the nationally syndicated classical music program Performance Today will feature music performed and recorded at Interlochen.

  Join Classical IPR at about 10:06 a.m. Friday to hear " In the Chapel in the Moonlight/Angela" by Bob James.  A recent recital in the Dendrinos Chapel and Recital Hall featured James at the piano with flutist Nancy Stagnitta. Michael Culler engineered the recording.
