Harlem Quartet

On Friday, June 26, the nationally syndicated classical music Performance Today will feature music performed at Interlochen Center for the Arts.

Join Classical IPR during the 11 a.m. hour as Performance Today broadcasts a recent performance given by the Harlem Quartet at Interlochen's Dendrinos Chapel and Recital Hall. The quartet played three rags by William Bolcom.

On Thursday, January 23, the nationally syndicated classical music program Performance Today will feature music performed and recorded at Interlochen.

Join Classical IPR at about 10:06 a.m. Thursday to hear Cuarteto en Guaguanco by Guido Lopez-Gavilan performed by the Harlem Quartet. This concert took place in the Dendrinos Chapel Recital Hall.

The Harlem Quartet was founded in 2006 by the Sphinx Organization. Their mission is to advance diversity in classical music, engaging young and new audiences through the discovery and presentation of varied repertoire that includes works by minority composers.

The Harlem Quartet recently performed at Interlochen Center for the Arts. This week on Classical IPR in Concert, you can hear that program.
