In Studio A with the Telegraph Quartet - August 2019

The Telegraph Quartet is a 2016 Walter W. Naumburg Chamber Music Award-winning string ensemble based in the San Francisco Bay area. The quartet will perform this week at Interlochen Center for the Arts. 

 

The group visited IPR’s Studio A to perform works by Mendelssohn, Britten and Beethoven. They also talked about collaboration, repertoire and their upcoming season. Hear the entire performance and interview below.

Join Classical IPR on Sunday April 14th for a live broadcast of Orff’s Carmina Burana. Kevin Rhodes conducts the Traverse Symphony Orchestra and the combined voices of the Northwestern Michigan College and Interlochen Arts Academy Choirs.

Soloists are soprano Kimberley Dolanski, tenor John Bragle, and baritone Gustav Andreassen.

This week Interlochen Public Radio presents an encore broadcast of the Traverse Symphony Orchestra’s February 2019 concert.

The program includes Beethoven's Egmont Overture and his Symphony No. 3. Michael Coonrod is the piano soloist in the world premiere performance of the Concerto for Piano, Left Hand by Kenji Bunch.

On Sunday, February 17, Classical IPR brings you the Traverse Symphony Orchestra in a live broadcast from Corson Auditorium.

Kevin Rhodes conducts Beethoven's Egmont Overture and the Symphony No. 3 "Eroica."

The concert features piano soloist Michael Coonrod performing the world premiere of the Concerto for Piano, Left Hand by Kenji Bunch.

This week Classical IPR in Concert features the Traverse Symphony Orchestra conducted by Kevin Rhodes.

The October 2018 concert includes the Symphony No. 2 by Sibelius, the Academic Festival Overture by Brahms and Copland's Clarinet Concerto with soloist Jeanmarie Riccobono.

In Studio A With the Telegraph Quartet

The Telegraph Quartet is the Quartet-in-Residence at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.

The group was formed in 2013 and was awarded the prestigious 2016 Walter W. Naumberg Chamber Music Award. The Telegraph Quartet has a new CD coming out next month.

They perform and coach chamber music at Interlochen Center for the Arts this week. The Telegraph Quartet visited IPR's Studio A with music by Beethoven, Dvořák and Weinberg. Listen below.
