A quarter mile into the woods at Michigan Legacy Art Park in Thompsonville, you’ll come across an outdoor amphitheater surrounded by tall trees. Around dusk on Saturday, the Benzie Central Chamber Choir filled the woods with Christmas songs.

The Traverse Symphony Orchestra performs its “Home for the Holidays” concert this weekend.

Bill Church, theatre director at Interlochen Arts Academy, will give a dramatic reading of a section from “A Christmas Carol.” 

Sounds of the Season, Interlochen's highly-anticipated holiday show, is performed by Interlochen Arts Academy students and faculty. It is a family-friendly concert centered around this festive time of year.

The Interlochen Arts Academy Band and Choir present holiday songs, with favorites for all ages. This annual celebration has become a tradition for many local residents, with classical holiday music and a sing-along. The show also features Interlochen Public Radio's own Kate Botello!

Celebrate the season with Classical IPR. This year includes holiday favorites like The Christmas Revels, Christmas with the Morehouse and Spelman Glee Clubs and live broadcasts of A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols and New Year's Day with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra.
