Join Classical IPR Friday, May 31 at 10:40 a.m. for a live broadcast of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra.

The Friday morning concert takes place in Orchestra Hall and is produced in partnership with WRCJ Detroit and WKAR.

The conductor this week is Simone Young. The concert features hornists Karl Pituch and Johanna Yarbrough.

Daniel Solowey

Daniel Solowey is a senior at Interlochen Arts Academy. He studies clarinet with Bryan Conger.

In Studio A at Classical IPR we found out about Daniel’s take on composers Johannes Brahms and Bela Kovacs. He performed with pianist Susan Snyder and chatted with us about his interests and future plans.

In Studio A with Daniel Solowey was engineered by Brock Morman. Sophia Bondi provided production assistance.

An Evening with the World Youth Symphony Orchestra begins at 7 p.m. this Sunday on Classical IPR.

Ahead of the live concert at 8 p.m., experience an hour of treasures from the Interlochen archives and insightful comments from this week's conductor Brett Mitchell.

The live concert features the Romance by Dvořák with violin soloist Jeff Thayer, "Devil's Radio" by Bates and Brahms' Symphony No. 4.
