This program features four black female authors, as part of a Black History Month panel discussion that took place in February, 2022. Honorée Fanonne Jeffers is the author of five books of poetry and the novel “The Love Songs of W.E.B. DuBois.” Wanda Morris is a corporate attorney and wrote the legal thriller “All Her Little Secrets.” And Vanessa Riley works in mechanical and industrial engineering in addition to her writing of historical fiction, including the novel “Island Queen.” They appeared at a virtual National Writers Series event and spoke with Rochelle Riley, who’s an author and Director of Arts and Culture for the city of Detroit.
