Hear the Metropolitan Opera's recent production of "Tosca," Puccini's intense, highly successful melodrama, on Saturday at 1 p.m. on Classical IPR.
The opera is set in 1800s Rome as the city weathers conflict between Napoleon's army and Austria's.
It's based on a play by Victorien Sardou about a painter and his jealous beloved, Tosca, and their run-ins with a brutal police chief.
