Aleksandar Vitanov just finished his junior year at Interlochen Arts Academy, and he is currently attending Interlochen Arts Camp. He is from Kavadarci, Macedonia and studies trumpet with Ken Larson.
Aleksandar visited IPR’s Studio A to perform the Hora Staccato by Grigoras Dinicu. He was joined by collaborative pianist Susan Snyder.
He told IPR about how he "gets creative" with the food in the Stone Cafeteria and how grateful he is that some of his friends from Macedonia were able to join him as campers this summer at Interlochen. Listen to the entire performance and interview below.
Brock Morman engineered this edition of Studio A.
