KIDS COMMUTE - Ragtime Week! Wednesday

It’s great to have you with us for Kids Commute - classical music for kids from Interlochen Public Radio. It’s Ragtime Week, so we’re highlighting composers from this distinctly American style of music. So far, we’ve heard music from Ernest Hogan and Tom Turpin. Today, we’ll hear music from James Scott, the first of the “big three” composers of ragtime music. We’ll tell you all about his first job in the music business and how he made friends with the biggest name in ragtime music. After the music, we’ll give you another hint for the Kids Commute Quizlet. Text us the correct answer and we’ll send you a Kids Commute Prize Pack! We hope you’re enjoying Ragtime Week on Kids Commute - music appreciation for kids from Interlochen Public Radio.
