Kids Commute - Carnival of the Animals Week! Monday

Hi Kids Commuters!  Thanks for joining us for Carnival of the Animals Week on Kids Commute from Classical IPR.  “Carnival of the Animals” is a fourteen movement musical suite by French composer, Camille Saint-Saens.  Meant to be humorous and fun, “Carnival of the Animals” is a big enough suite that we’re going to present it over two separate weeks.  Since we introduced you to Leonard Bernstein and his love for education, the Kids Commute team decided there was nobody better suited to tell you about “Carnival of the Animals.”  So this week, we let the maestro do the heavy lifting and tell you all about the performance. Today’s musical selection is “Introduction and Royal March of the Lion.” Stick around after the music, and we’ll introduce you to an all new Kids Commute Quizlet.  If you know the answer, text it to us! If you’re correct, we’ll send you a Kids Commute Prize Pack. We hope you enjoy Carnival of the Animals Week on Kids Commute from Interlochen Public Radio.
