Kids Commute - Bicycle Week! Monday

Apr 29, 2019

Welcome to a new free-wheeling week of Kids Commute from Interlochen Public Radio.  It’s Bicycle Week! Kids Commute is partnering with Traverse City bicycling group, Norte, for a community bike ride followed by a Kids Commute Live concert at the Little Fleet.  Make sure you listen for more details about the event. To support this partnership, Kids Commute will be playing some great music centered around bikes. If you’re a regular Kids Commuter, you’ve heard us say that classical music isn’t too fancy or out of reach.  It’s just music! Our musical selection of the day is a great example. We’ll hear the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Chorus perform “Bicycle Race,” originally written and recorded by the legendary rock & roll band Queen in 1978. Because of the special event, we’re skipping this week’s Kids Commute Quizlet, so you can just enjoy a couple of the simple joys of life: music and bike rides.  We hope you enjoy Bicycle Week on Kids Commute from Interlochen Public Radio.
