Cristian Macelaru conducts the World Youth Symphony Orchestra in the Symphony No. 11 by Dmitri Shostakovich. Macelaru has conducted the World Youth Symphony Orchestra in recent summers and is an alumnus of Interlochen Arts Academy and Interlochen Arts Camp.
An Evening with the World Youth Symphony Orchestra begins at 7:00 p.m. with recordings from the Interlochen archives and comments from conductor. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. live on Classical IPR.
