The Argentine chamber tango ensemble QuinTango is traveling around Michigan as part of a 6-concert tour, "The Buenos Aires Experience," with performances at art galleries, museums, wineries and more.

Over its 20-year history, QuinTango’s performances have ranged from the White House to Stanford University and Lincoln Center Plaza, to the Kennedy Center and Piccolo Spoleto in Charleston. They’ve performed at international festivals in Costa Rica and the Amalfi Coast, and toured in France, Italy, Mexico, Guatemala, Argentina and Uruguay.
QuinTango recently visited Studio A to perform and chat with IPR's Kate Botello.
They performed "Luna roja" (Red moon) by QuinTango's Emmanuel Trifilio, "Dance me," an arrangement by QuinTango's Ali Cook of Leonard Cohen's hit song, and "VIDA," also arranged by Trifilio.
QuinTango's members are: Regino Madrid (violin), Joan Singer (founder/violin), Ali Cook (bass), Agustin Muriago (piano) and Emmanuel Trifilio (bandoneon). They are joined this weekend by QuinTango’s dance master, Victor Rua Espada of Buenos Aires.
