Resonance and Rhythm
Resonance and Rhythm
The exhibit highlights the work of four Michigan artists and focuses on the interplay of the abstract and the organic as showcased in the whimsical and sculptural wood furniture of John DeHoog and the playful yet sophisticated mixed media abstract paintings of Christy DeHoog Johnson. Michelle Krievins-Newman’s layered, color field paintings create a rhythmic balance against the geometries and patterns explored by Joan Richmond in her interpretive landscape paintings.
The four artists in this show will be on hand to discuss their methods, materials, and individual artistic journeys and visions during a round-table discussion on November 30th from 2:00 - 4:00 pm.
